If you are experiencing pain, weakness, impaired balance or have noticed a decline in your functional mobility or recreational activities, then YES, PT is absolutely your best route to take to get you back on track!
Will my insurance cover therapy services?
We accept a variety of insurances including Medicare, Medicaid, Presbyterian, Blue Cross Blue Shield and others. Our staff will get authorization from your insurance prior to services rendered. Your insurance may require you to pay a co-pay which would be payable at your visit. We accept cash, check or debit/credit card.
Do I need a physician referral to start PT?
In New Mexico, you do not need a physical referral to be evaluated. Medicare does not require a referral. Your insurance may require a referral and if so, your physician can FAX a referral to us. After your individualized PT Plan of Care has been established, it will be sent to your physician.
"I'm in too much pain to come in for therapy."
Pain can be managed in many ways, and Physical Therapy offers an array of options to help manage your pain. By doing stretches, gentle exercises, manual therapy and modalities, pain can be greatly reduced.
"What if my insurance is "out-of-network"?"
This is definitely up to the patient, we can see the patient and still request eligibly and benefits and see what the bill will be like. However, we do offer a cash-based payment plan if you would like to pay out-of-pocket for treatment instead. Want to know more? Please ask us!
"What can I expect on my first visit? "
The first visit usually entails filling out initial paperwork, getting copies of your ID and Insurance Card; we typically ask patients to arrive about 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to allow you sufficient time to fill out the necessary forms we need. After paperwork, our therapist will take you to a private area to conduct the evaluation. The therapist will ask you some questions regarding your case. Afterwards depending on time, you may start exercise right away, education, or modality. You can expect your visit to run 45-60 minutes long.
STILL NOT SURE IF PHYSICAL THERAPY IS RIGHT FOR YOU? We offer a free 30-min consult to help answer your questions.
